Your baby is growing every minute, so time is of the essence when booking your newborn session. We'll want to hold your newborn session between 7 and 14 days after birth. This is preferred because baby will be less responsive to being wrapped and held for their photos. They also sleep for longer periods of time, so they will be sleepy and snuggly. After the first two weeks, baby will become more responsive, will start stretching out of wraps and will be awake and alert more. You will want to book your newborn session well in advance, preferably when you book your maternity session.

Our Studio Full Newborn sessions are in-studio sessions where we capture beautiful family portraits on neutral backdrops. These sessions are for families that would like classic, timeless portraits to hang on their wall. Includes unwrapped baby images, images of baby wrapped (and/or in outfits) with 2 prop set-ups, and family/sibling images. Sessions are best held between 7-14 days of age. *Sessions run about 3 hours long and include 10 images.

Our Lifestyle Newborn Sessions are in-home lifestyle sessions where we capture the uniqueness of your family and your new arrival in the comfort of your own home. These sessions are focused on the baby in their new environment and the interactions between family members. Calm and relaxing with very little posing; these sessions are aimed at capturing the essence of your family in a meaningful environment.

Book your session as soon as you can! I only take a set amount of sessions per month, so you'll want to secure your spot as soon as you can. We'll want to book your session when baby is between 7 and 14 days, so please do not wait until baby is born! I am no longer accepting last minute session.

For lifestyle sessions, we will want to book your session when the lighting is best in the rooms we will shoot in the most; typically the master bedroom and the nursery.
Studio sessions will be booked in the morning, when baby is most happy.

You are welcome to have an outfit change if you'd like. For studio sessions; you will want to bring a backup outfit in case you get peed or pooed on while diaper changing!

Life-Inspired Sessions last about an hour to an hour and a half. We go with the flow and are on baby's schedule, so I don't like to put an exact time on newborn sessions.
Studio Sessions last between an hour and a half to three hours, depending on which package you choose.

Wardrobe color is an important factor for newborn sessions! We want your outfits to be flattering, while flowing along with your home's décor or our neutral backdrops. Solid earth tones are lovely for all skin tones. I like to stick to ivory, white or soft color shades. We don't want a lot of prints or designs that may distract from baby; solid colors are always a great choice. Flowy maxi or midi dresses that are nursing-friendly are always a great choice. You can't go wrong with your newborn in a basic white onesie. This is a classic look that blends well with everything. Dads look great in solid colored button-down shirts or henley, with well-kept jeans or khakis.

A $75 retainer is due at the time of booking for all sessions. The remaining balance is due 24 hours before the session date/time; I will send an invoice for the remaining balance 3-5 days prior.

Yes! Additional images may be purchased for all sessions.

Yes, each photo is professionally edited and retouched by hand, such as the removal of acne or unwanted scars.

If your outdoor session needs to be rescheduled due to inclement weather, we will try for the first available session date. I will send you a notification at least 2 hours of the session time if I see a reason to reschedule. Please note I do automatically reschedule sessions if there is a more than a 80% chance of rain. I do not reschedule for overcast weather, as this is my preferred lighting to shoot in!
